Parson's 12th Texas Cavalry, Co K, Capt. Brown

Tecox, ....re: James P. Brown, (1831-1807), Captain of Co K, Parson’s 12th TX Cavalry
.
Of the three Browns of North Texas mentioned the James P. Brown obituary, the only one listed in my 146-page Name Index is below. I was surprised since I must have 50 men named Brown listed.

I looked on our friend's, James E. Williams', website for the 12th Cavalry, Company K and guess what, Company K was recruited in Limestone County, where Kosse, TX is located.
