Henry P. Tuggle was carried on roll with Co. "I", 10th Texas Regiment from his enlistment at Kimball TX, Jan. 16, 1862. However, due to an assignment as a nurse at Austin AR, dated Sept. 7, 1862, he missed capture at Arkansas Post on Jan. 11, 1863. For that reason Tuggle was not with the regiment in any of its battles east of the Mississippi River. Aside from company records reporting him absent, west of the Mississippi, I see no record of this man following his payment at Little Rock AR, Apr. 19, 1863.
