Hi there, Just wondering if any one knows anything about John Richard Coggin and his brother Andrew Jackson Coggin. They were both in the 24th Regiment, Texas Cavalry, Co. C (Wilkes') (2nd Texas Lancers). Andrew was also in the He was in the 3rd Regiment, Alabama Infantry, Co. L. They were both early Texas Rangers. I was told that they were involved in a huge shootout in Llano TX 1882, but I don't know the details. I appreciate any information on their Civil War service.
