Hello Jack why don't you send me an e-mail and I can send you more information. I don't know exactly what you may know about Howell's battery, but I have written a book about them, not published. I let it sit for sometime, but I am interested in seeing if I can find any new information out there.

I don't have anything at all on Anderson Bone other than he was a private and a farmer before he inlisted.

I can tell you they served in the Indian Nations and took part in the battle at Newtonia Missouri, there connon were captured at Old Fort Wayne Indian Nations, an attack on Fort Smith in which the battery was held in reserve, and the cabin creek campaign of 64 which included the prior creek engagement, and flat rock creek engagement.

would be interested in anything you have.
