12th Texas Cavalry Cotton Plant 7 July 1862

I am preparing a book on the Battle of Cotton Plant, Arkansas and would appreciate any help in determining the actual number of Confederate casualties during the action. I have tracked down all of the Yankee dead and wounded by name and hope to do the same for our side. From the Union accounts, and from family stories passed down by the owners of the battlefield, who are the descendents of the original owners, I have come to the conclusion that the reports in the Official Records grossly inflated the number of Confederate dead and wounded.
Thanks for any help.
