September 23, 1862, transferred to Danville, Virginia hospital December 25, Chronic Diarrhoea, died in hospital May 17, 1863, Bronchitis, effects left consisted of $54.00, Blanket, Haversack, Canteen, 3 pr. pants, Hat, overcoat, shoes, 1 coat, 2 pr. drawers, 3 shirts & oil cloth, suspenders, socks, Testament, Razor & Strop, Bullet molds, PO Knife & 8 plugs Tobacco

P. S. I have never seen such a detailed list of a soldier's possessions. This is a great find.
