5th Texas Partisan Rangers

I am interested in any information on Joshaway and Davis Fergerson who served in Co F. Davis Fergerson was my Great Grandfather. He is buried in the Sand Springs Cemetery just north of Mineola, Tx and on US Hwy 69. His grave is marked with a Confederate marker. He was born in Greene Cnty, Illinois in 1844 and moved with his family to Collin Cnty, Tx around 1850. They are in the 1860 US Census for Collin Cnty, Tx.
He and Joshaway were living near the Highland Community north of Mckinney, Tx when they rode to Stephenville and joined up with Leonidas Martin's unit. The Confederate record of their enlistment shows
they came from the "Cross Timbers" section of Texas. He died in the mid 1880's in the Cottonwood Community of Wood County, Texas after residing in Sebastian County, AR for the period just after the war
ended.
I would like to know if these brothers were involved in the Massard Prairie engagement just outside Ft Smith or any other tidbit about them. My Grandfather, William Henry Ferguson (his spelling), told me a few stories about them picking up cattle and hogs for the troops to eat and writing up reports that the stock they had gathered had all been "kicked in the head". He never mentioned that Davis had a brother named
Joshaway that I can remember. I have some indication that Joshaway lived in AR after the war.
Thank you, Kenneth Rogers
