Hello- My great grandfather, John Hartin Garretson, was in the 3rd Texas Cavalry, Arizona Brigade, Company D according to information I've found on Ancestry. He survived the war. Apparently the Arizona Brigades were disbanded and some men were sent east to fight. Any information about this group would be appreciated. My great grandfather enlisted as John Garretson from San Saba County. Thanks.
