I recently found a piece of brass very near the Stones River Battlefield in Murfreesboro, TN. The piece of brass has the name: "W. H. Taylor" hand stenciled on it. I know the 10th was at Murfreesboro and then went to Mississippi and W.H. Taylor was killed there. Does anyone have any interest in the name plate. If so, I can send a photo for you to review. I have found several confederate items at this location but none can be identified as Texas items.
