I am hoping that some of y'all may be able to point me in the right direction to finding more info on my g-g-g grandfather, Henry W. Long who was in the 9th Infantry, Company K. He was born in Prussia or Germany in 1840. He enlisted in Lamar County in 1861. Family lore says was wounded in the Battle of Shiloh (he was apparently shot in 2 different battles -- both injuries to the left arm --which resulted in amputation). I've also got some info that he was a POW at Camp Morton and was captured in Jackson MS in July 1863.

I would MUCH appreciate any help from the group!
