The company was divided March 28, 1863, and part of it organized as (2nd) Company K of this regiment.

Cavalry Companies A, C, I and K were transferred to the 12th (Brown"s) Battalion Texas Cavalry and formed the 35th (Brown's) Regiment Texas Cavalry November 9, 1863
