Brig-Gen. H.E. McCulloch; 43 letters not in OR

To Brig-Gen. Henry Eustace McCulloch researchers:
.
Found in THE BOURLAND PAPERS are forty-three (43) letters to and from McCulloch that are not mentioned in the OFFICIAL RECORD.
.
Don't forget, McCulloch burned his papers.
.
Because of the condition of these letters, it took up to thirty (30) man-hours to transcribe most of these letters. Interpreting these letters is a different baliwick.
.
As the gent, to whom I dedicated my book, said: "If it were easy, it would have been done many years ago." And by the way, he suggested transcribing THE BOURLAND PAPERS and helped me until I had a hard cover book in hand. Two others chimed in and spent untold hours transcribing and interpreting THE BOURLAND PAPERS. And my husband helped every step of the way.
