Perhaps one of the most fascinating and thrilling hour by hour account of the fight at Reed's Bridge that I am aware of is the book,"The Division,Defending Little Rock,Aug.25 - Sept.10.1863" by Tim Burford and Stephanie McBride.These authors just about bring this fight back to life.You are very nearly there in the shadow of Marmaduke,Walker,Shelby and the whole crew.
