TX Confederate Soldier Damon Slator (aka Slater)

I have information from on the Civil War Record for Damon Slator (spelled Slater in the muster roll). He enlisted in Company D, Ragsdale's Battalion Texas Cavalry October 27, 1862 at Camp Wilson and was stationed variously at Fort Manhassett and Sabine Pass. In October 1864, he was arrested and charges preferred. On December 29, 1864, there was a possible court-martial. On January 19, 1865, he was granted 60 days leave to Northwest Texas. As of March 22, 1865, he had now returned and was deemed AWOL.

I am looking for details on (1) his arrest and (2) whether or not he was court-martialed. Also, was he ever recovered from his AWOL status. He enlisted as a Private and went out as a Lieutenant.

Does anyone have suggestions as to where to look to obtain the recorded details of this events?
Thanks for your assistance,
M. Adele Hilton
