Benjamin F. Lowe, Jr. 2nd Lieutenant, Co. K, 3rd Arkansas Infantry, enlisted May 20, 1861 at Columbia [?], Arkansas, promoted 1st Lieutenant, September 19, 1863, his name appears on a roll of the Texas Brigade, Field's Division, 1st Army Corps., commanded by Col. F. S. Bass on the Exterior Line Richmond Defenses Chas. City Road, Jan. 27, 1865, paroled June 20, 1865 at Montgomery, Alabama and also June 10 at Memphis, Tenn., description: 5' 8", light hair, dark eyes, dark complexion, his records contain correspondence from the War Department and the Texas Commissioner of Pensions dated July 8, 1915, Mrs. Benjamin F. Lowe filed for a Texas Confederate Widow's pension from Tarrant* County, Texas. n. d., #A- 31650
