My name is Darrell Rhea.
Our small reenacting unit is Confederate cavalry, we portray 2nd Texas Mounted Rifles, Co. F.
This company was part of the original "W.P. Lane Rangers" raised in Marshal, Texas. It spent a few months on occupation duty at Fort Lancaster (June - November, 1861) until General H. H. Sibley came through with his brigade (soon to be renamed the "Army of New Mexico) and assimilated them (and other 2TMR companies from other West Texas forts) for his campaign.
We have been doing this impression since 2008, and on/off for about six years before then.
