“A.B. (Azro Buck) Cory lived in Bolivar Twp., Polk Co, Missouri in 1860, according to the census. Living with him and his family was 71year old Lytta Cory born in Vermont . A.B. was the owner of a newspaper, the Bolivar Weekly Courier in 1856 - I am not sure if it was Republican or Democratic, but it went out of existence at the beginning
of the war. From the Dallas Public Library, I have verification that A.B. Cory was once with the Dallas Weekly Herald and by 1871, he had moved to Bentonville, Benton Co, Arkansas to publish the Arkansas Democrat. “
