Am attempting to learn the name of the parents of G.M. Scarborough. I have all the records that I could find on the many Scarboroughs who lived in Anderson and Houston Counties, TX, but have been unable to locate any family of "G.M." Scarborough of whom he enlisted in the CW at Palestine, TX in the 1st Texas Brigade, Co. G, Reagan's Guards. He died May 22, 1862 in Richmond, VA. An online site regarding the 1st Texas Brigade, Co. G lists the name of Mr. Scarborough as "Geo. M.", but that given name does not appear on any of G.M's CW records. There was a "J.M. Scarbrough who also enlisted and I have all of his records which prove that he is not the same as "G.M." Scarborough. Please help to identify this soldier. Thanks.
