Looking for information on Sgt. Alexander Haynes of Morgan's 18th Cavalry, Co. G, Texas. Little information is know about his service. Family tradition states he served on the Red River, SW Arkansas/Louisiana using chains to let certain boats up and down the Red. Is there any historical site that would house his information on the papers when he sited up in Linden, Cass Co., Tx? (Cass County's eastern border joins the Arkansas, Miller Co. (then Layfette Co.)
