I'm looking for information on John St. Clair, enrolled in Co. I of McCord's Frontier Regt. I have his CMSR info but looking for other sources. He was enrolled June 30, 1863.

An 1908 book by Emma Johnson states "The first family of citizens to settle at this fort was Mr. L.D. St. Clair, who, with his wife and six children, two sons and four daughters, settled on Jim Ned Creek two miles east of the fort [Fort Colorado].... John, the youngest, is still a citizen of Coleman County, and resides at Montvale".

John St. Clair is my wife's gg grandfather.
