This Riggs Pennington may be the son of Peter Pennington and Sally Bray. Riggs was born 1839 in Lawrence Co., Missouri and was orphaned in 1855 & 1856. He very well could have joined his Uncle Riggs and cousins who had settled in Texas...several of this clan of Penningtons migrated to Texas from Lawrence County, Missouri.
