Jesse Green Armstrong was listed in an 1862 Montague County militia (J.G. Armstrong stated that he was age 43 born in Illinois); m-Nov 1, 1860 Cooke Co TX to Mary Frances Davis, b-1843 MO (mistakenly listed as Chloe age 17 as dau of David and "Disy" Davis in 1850 Cass Co MO cen ... daughter of Dicey Jenkins and David Davis). This "Mary Armstrong" was found in a listing of soldiers' wives in a document found in THE BOURLAND PAPERS.
