I'd appreciate any information on this soldier. He also served in the 21st Infantry Battalion. This Battalion and the 11th Cavalry I believe were merged to form the 21st Regiment. I've been unable to find very much info on the web about the 21st and their service. Private Dodson may be listed as J.L. Dodson ( maybe Dotson ? ) He had a brother that served in the Union 2nd Kansas Light Artillery. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
