Just a shout out to all who are looking for something to do. Dr. Pound served the 17 Texas as it's doctor during the war. His home that he built, now in Dripping Springs, Texas is viewable this coming 24 Sept. 2011. They have an annual event to honor one of the towns founders. I do living history there as one of the Confederates. At Camp Ben McCulloch is a table honoring Dr. Pound, placed there by his children. The reunion grounds not far from Dripping Springs has been used for over 100 years by the vets and their families. They still hold a reunion in June every year. I would like to invite any and all to come. See the home with the well half in and half out of the house. See were the Comanche trace ran out side the house and learn how he handled the natives. Arts and crafts, music, and kids games. Firing of Civil War weapons will also take place.
