Thanks Re:Telegraph Line in Galveston

Thanks for your help! I was reading the Smith (Ashbel) papers at the Dolph Briscoe Center for American History at the Univ. of Texas #4L261 in which an order was given to Lt. Col. William A. Wortham of Likens' 35th Texas Cavalry (Dismounted) to replace Hobby's 8th Texas Infantry which was guarding the telegraph line in May 1865, hence my interest in the location of the line. While reading I also noticed the arrival of the blockade-runner The Wren with 87 cases of Enfields and many cannons-These final days in Galveston would make for exciting reading!
