From what one of his gggranddaughters knew, he was killed at the Battle of Shiloh aka Battle of Pittsburg Landing and buried in a mass grave there. She visited the Park and the ranger found his name. I have downloaded the musters for the Unit and it was missing the ones for Mar-Apr-May-June-July 1862. The battle was fought on Apr 6-7, 1862. I found one muster on John, dated Feb 15, 1862, at Camp Linkin. He was there with his brother, Thomas A. Latimer on that date. Any pictures or other information would be greatly appreciated. Tina
