My ggrandfather (pvt.John Rober George) was in the 4th Texas Mounted Volunteers Co. E under( Capt. Charles B. Buckholts). I am looking for any information on co. E that anyone has during the New Mexico campaign, what campaigns, I have record of regimental return dated Dec. 1863 , absent with leave scince Nov. 1863, also have a record paroled to return home Austin Tx. July 27 1865.Iam not sure what all this means can anyone help me?
