Cold Springs and Woods' 36th TX Cavalry

Is anyone familiar with "Cold Springs", I presume in Louisiana? In reading The Weekly State Gazette (Austin, TX) 22 June 1864 (The Portal of Texas History, University of North Texas website), there is an article that appears to accuse Woods' Regiment of purposely delaying in order to avoid being in the fights of Mansfield and Pleasant Hill. The page is blotched with a big ink spot on top of the mentioned article. It appears that the regiment was in Livingston (Texas)....."proceeded direct to Cold Springs".... I will search other newspapers for this article. I am trying to find Cold Springs. I do not see it on a Louisiana map. What roads would the 36th have traveled to Blair's Landing for the April 12, 1864, battle?
