Buried by Banderans at the scene on Julian Creek were: brothers CJ Costen Sawyer and WM William Sawyer; George Thayre, a brother-in-law of the Sawyers; William Shumake; Jack Whitmire; Jake Kyle; John Smart; and Mr. Van Winkle. Banderans placed a marker there engraved with the names of the victims, a sign perhaps that the townsfolk may have been convinced that a sad injustice had occurred.

It is my understanding that all were from Williamson County.
