For what it is worth, the Camp Ford Marker was/is the number one aluminum plaque marker in the state, dedicated on January 14, 1962. We are having a semicentennial program with the Historical Commission this Saturday. With a threshold of fifty years as the age eligibility, we have questioned whether we can get an historical marker for an historical marker.
