Hello. My Great Grandfather, John S. Logsdon served in Co.A, 22nd Texas Cavalry Regiment. He started with Taylor's Regiment Texas Mounted Rifles until June 30, 1862 then was with Steven’s Regiment Texas Dismounted Cavalry until at least February 1864. I know nothing of his service other than what I have listed her or what states he fought in. I saw online that it was sometimes called the 1st Indian Texas Regiment. I have no idea what that means. Could someone please give me information on his service records? And the history of Company A?
