Jim Jones--Sibley's/Green's Brigade

I am trying to identify a Confederate soldier known as Jim Jones. He served in Sibley's New Mexico Campaign, probably as a member of the 4th Texas Cavalry. Later in the war, he was taken prisoner and held in the Elmira Prison Camp. His escape is mentioned in the Confederate Veteran magazine, Volume 34, page 379. A number of years after the war, he attended a reunion of Green's Brigade (also known as Sibley's Brigade) at Cuero, Texas. Apparently, he died soon after the reunion.
