Hungarian in 1st Texas

A wave of Hungarian immigrants came to America following a failed uprising in 1848-49 against the Austrian empire of the Habsburgs. Quite a number served in the Union army, but a few went south, including Charles Vidor, who was living in Galveston and joined the Lone Star Rifles, which became Company L of the 1st Texas Regiment. He was reportedly appointed Quartermaster clerk for the brigade and division starting in late 1862. Any information on his service would be appreciated - was he at Gettysburg? Vidor died in 1904, a few weeks prior to his 70th birthday.
