Thanks for reminding me that I failed to complete my post. The only info I have been able to locate regarding the service of J.R. Lamance was his application for a Confederate Pension in which he stated that he served in Co. "E", 34th/37th of Terrell's Cavalry Regiment which was organized in June 1863. His pension application shows that he received a gun shot wound in his leg and in his breast. The pension record also shows that he had enlisted for 2 years. However, I have not been able to learn when J.R. Lamance received his wounds and where.
