i was recently walking thru a very small cemetary on I-10 between vidor texas and orange texas called BLAND cemetary, and i came across a tombstone that had a gentleman's name on it Peyton Bland and said he was a member of the orange county coast guard, and a confederate army soldier. i thought this was unique seeing how i myself am in the coast guard now, so i took a pic of the tombstone. i was just wondering if anyone on here could tell me a little about the orange county coast guard, was it part of the confederate army?
