Not much here, I do not find an Gilentines or Erothin any of these rosters.

James Patton, age 17, Private Capt. J. B. Bussey's Company, Bass' Regiment Texas Mounted Volunteers,** enlisted March 1, 1862 in Anderson County, by F. C. Bass for 12 months, discharged June 30, 1862 at Camp McCullock, final statement given, no other records

** This company was successively designated as Captain Bussey's Company, Bass' Regiment Texas Mounted Volunteers, Company G, Bass' Regiment Texas Cavalry, and Company A, 20th Regiment Texas Cavalry

James Patton, Company A, Anderson's Regiment Texas Cavalry*, recorded on the November, 1864 Regimental Return as absent without leave since September 6, 1864, no other records

* This organization was subsequently known as Border's Regiment Texas Cavalry

Also in Company A was 2nd Lieutenant John F. Patton. Perhaps a brother or cousin.

J. A. C. B. Patton, age 30, Private, Capt. C. D. McKnight's Company, Locke's Regiment Texas Mounted Volunteers,*** joined for duty and enrolled October 31, 1861 at Taos, Texas by Maj. Geo. W. Chilton for 12 months, no other records

*** This company subsequently became Company A, 10th Regiment Texas Cavalry
