I suspect there is a wide range of documents referred to in these files. I could only suggest you contact the Washington, DC National Archives Archivists to narrow down this field.

M346: Confederate Papers Relating to Citizens or Business Firms, 1861-65

A file compiled by the U. S. War Department on individual Confederate Citizens or business firms, 1861-65, 1,240 ft., available on microfilm as

M 346 " . . . contains original documents, with cross-references to other compiled files and to book records. . . . Other documents include abstracts of expenditures, contracts for armament, contractors' bonds, certificates of deposit, passes, powers of attorney, lists of prepayment certificates received at offices of State commissioners of taxes, requests for warrants, Treasurer's receipts and warrants, reports of the Second Auditor ofn claims, recommendations for appointments, applications for clerkships in the Treasury Department, and receipts for salary payments."
