Correction: G.W. Lee d-1880; Sims' 9th Cav, Co

Bill Nolan,
.
Addressing: "I could not find the 3rd G.W.Lee you mentioned at Fold3."

********
.
See my statement: "This means that at least two, and probably three men named "G.W. Lee" served in Sims' 9th Cavalry." .. The third was the off-chance that the G.W. Lee of the 1880 Hood Co TX cen was, in fact, the son of D.W. Lee (1810-1877).
.

The family of Daniel Webster LEE (1810 TN-1877 Fann Co TX) and Mary Davis (1814-1845) posted on Ancestry.com that their son, George Wash LEE b-1842 AR died in 1880 Hood Co TX. ... Editor's note: one George Waymon Lee (1844 SC-1899) is found with a passel of kiddos in the 1880 Hood Co TX cen p57b.

.
I was referencing the statement flanked by my editor's note that throws cold water on the Ancestry.com record of the "Daniel Webster LEE (1810 TN-1877 Fann Co TX)" family that is probably wrong ... I suspect that the D.W. Lee family thought the "George Waymon Lee (1844 SC-1899) was their son G.W. Lee.
.
Sorry that my earlier expanation was not up to snuff.
