Appreciate your answering me. James V. Martin applied for a Confederate Pension 14 Jul 1900, McDade
Post Office, Bastrop Co., Texas. Comptroller File # 8172. Application indicates that he served with
Capt. Rabb's Co., and Col. Ford's Reg't of the Texas Cavalray. I am assuming this is Colonel John
Solomon "R. I. P." Ford.
