Col. W. O. Coleman, Mo.

In recent research on Col. William O. Coleman of Missouri, Board January 12, 1837, in New York City, he was a well known and celebrated officer serving under Joe Shelby and others. His activities often involved working in Missouri to include organizing several regiments for both Missouri and Arkansas. After the war he lived in Houston and then Brownsville where apparently he died. He was a member of the UCV camp'Dick Dowling' of Houston. Does anyone know if the camp records are in existence, and if so where might I find them. Furhtermore, I would love to know if this man left any personal recollections with the camp, which typically was done in various camps in Missouri and Arkansas.
