Relicus M. Jones; Howell's Batty, Fannin County

Sylvanus Howell's 11th Light Artillery Battery - most men from the Fannin County area - is addresed in the 19-page Grayson County CSA widow's pension application #17708 for the service of Relicus Marion Jones, listed as "Rebuen Marion Jones" in Ancestry.com. ..Included are three rather extensive easy-to-read interrogatives by:
.
Lt. Wm. A. Routh
Sgt. George W. Blair
Bugler John P. Lair
.
Very few of the men of the 11th Field Battery are mentioned in the NARA records, i.e., Fold3. ..e.g., Sgt. G.W. Blair is found in one record as "C.M. Blair" and Bugler John P. Lair is skipped. .. Our friend Curtis Payne had compiled an impressive study of Howell's Battery, but even he did not find this R.M. Jones. ..Below is his entry in my 200-page Name Index.
