Re: Looking for info on John O.M.W. McCann

John O. M. W. McCann, Private, Company C, 3rd Battalion,* joined for duty and enrolled March 12, 1862 at Crockett/Camp Burnett, by J. P. Parker for 12 months, last shown present on the January and February, 1864 muster roll, no further records

Note: This is the last surviving muster roll for Company C, it was conducted near Markville, La. Without further muster rolls we have no understanding of his subsequent service

* The 6th (also known as the 3rd and as Gould's) Battalion Texas Cavalry was organized in the early part of 1862. The battalion appears to have served as dismounted cavalry from the latter part of 1862
