1st Chickasaw Cavalry Battalion

I'm looking for Texans who served in the 1st Chickasaw Cavalry Battalion which served primarily in the Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory. The battalion is first identified in May 1862, though may have existed in late 1861, first commanded by Lt. Col. J.D. Harris, reorganized in 1862 under Lt Col Lemuel Reynolds, and reorganized again in Oct 1864 under Lt Col Martin Sheco (or Shecoe) and called "Shecoe's Chickasaw Battalion". One reference calls it the "Chickasaw Regiment" but there is no further evidence it was increased from a battalion.

I found a reference stating that early on Scanland's Squadron was part of this battalion. The battalion was apparently posted at Ft Arbuckle much of the time but was at/near Cochran's (near present Frisco OK, Pontotoc County) for the Oct 1864 reorganization and 20 miles north of there in the Feb. 13, 1864 Battle of Middle Boggy along with Jumper's Seminole Battalion.

I've heard of the list at the end of the war of Texans (or whites) in the Chickasaw Battalion but have not been able to locate the list.

Does anyone know where this list is or have other information on whites in this battalion?

Ken
