Hey Gerald,

Mamie Yeary's "Reminiscences of the Boys In Gray 1861-1865" has many fascinating and little known stories by the soldiers in these units. Many in great detail. Mamie collected stories from soldiers primarily from Texas and those who moved there after the war. But the nearly 900 page book is not indexed by unit and only alphabetized by the soldiers last name. I started to index the units once and only got to page 273.

In addition you might consider contacting the Col.Harold B. Simpson Confederate Research Center at Hill College,Hillsboro,Tx. They have files on the companies of these regiments and have much original donated material. Letters,manuscripts etc..
