Re: James Samuel Burnett Bugler in Civil War

The Battle of Cotton Plant July 7,1862 covered some six miles or more. I'm sure a few were buried along the battle route when the fighting cease. Then some of the wounded were hauled by wagon back to Des Arc, Arkansas and placed in a Hotel/Hospital there. some died there over the next day or so and were buried at Des Arc. The ones that survived the first day at Des Arc were placed on wagons for Little Rock a trip of 40 miles. Some died at the Hospitals in Little Rock and were buried in a confederate cemetery southeast of what was then St. John's College/Hospital.
