I am looking for any and all information I can get on Sid S. Johnson's Scout Company under General Red Jackson. I would welcome any information on any scout company associated with Ross Texas Cavalry Brigade, such as Capt Wade's Company of Scouts (all officers) 1864. Are there books on this subject or these men? There is a order put out by General Jackson for certain soldiers to be assigned to Johnson's Scout Company in May June 1864. One name on an order was Thomas M. Presley, of the 3rd Texas Cavalry Regiment. Were there other scout companies?
