Re: 17th Texas Inf in Louisiana

Hi, Jim Martin, My Great Uncle. W. L. Gresham was in Co B, 12th Texas Infantry, in 1861 to June 25th 1863. They were in the Battle of Milikens Bend, La. I have a copy of a letter written to his mother from Camp Hebert, Texas in Dec 1861. Also the date of his death , June 1863, in the Family Bible of his mother (Nancy L. Mickelborough Gresham). The Family of my Greatgrandfather, James H. Gresham(Grisham) only knew he died while in Confederate Service. Would you know if he was wounded at Milikens Bend and died as a result of wounds on the later date. His younger Brother R.E Gresham and brother-in-law W.J. Richey were in the 18th Texas Infantry. Were they in the Battle at Milikens Bend. It seems that someone in one of the familys would have known the cause of W.L. Gresham's death but if anyone knew it did not filter down. One other question do you still offer copies of CSA soldiers military records on this site?
