I am trying to find information about Captain Asher Waterman Carter who supposedly commanded a company of the Mesquite Light Horse, Dallas County, 13th Brigade Troops during the Civil War. Does anyone know anything about him , have pictures, or know of any battles, etc. Supposedly he was also active in Dallas politics after the Civil War. I would appreciate any and all information anyone has. He was my great, great grandfather. I stumbled on this site accidentally and would also appreciate any other links or sources anyone has.
