Hello. I know of Shirley Springs. Many of the companies camped there either organizing or on the way north to Indian Territory or Arkansas. Obviously there must have been good water. The Shirley's were a prominent family.

My Thompson line was early in Collin around 7 miles north of Farmersville at the present Snow Hill cemetery.
