Gurley for 3 years or the war, value of horse $125.00, recorded on the Jul/Aug, 1863 muster roll*** as Private, absent, in arrest and confined in jail, entitled to Corporals, pay to 20 August, no further records

Note, there are no subsequent muster rolls for the company found in the records. Hence we cannot ascertain his subsequent service

His record consists of only two cards, one for N. P., the other N. B., however, the one card indexed under N. B. notes his records are found under N. P. Phillips
